Hola! Pienso que a mi me gusta "America Libre" by Raul Ramos y Sanchez. I can be contacted at salawrnc@yahoo.com. A little about myself? Well, I'm a masters in public health student with a BA in Spanish and Anthropology. I have read a couple books by Latina authors ("How the Garcia Girls Lost their Accents" by Julia Alvarez & "When I was Puerto Rican" by Esmeralda Santiago). I enjoy books that give an inside view of cultures, especially when told from the perspective of women. I also like books with short stories written by teens (i.e. "Freedom Writers Diary" and "Yell-Oh Girls"). PS: I'm a new reader and I really like your blog! :)

I would love to win AMerica Libre. I am a fan of Ral Ramos y Sanchez and want to read this book. Gracias!
I am looking forward to reading American Libre. Latino authors are always my priority when I go to the bookstore, unfortunately, not many of them are featured so you have to search.
I've read both books by Junot Diaz and the last author I read was Ivan Sanchez' Next Stop: Growing up Wild-Stlye in the Bronx and just picked up his new one, It's Just Begun: The Epic Journey of DJ Disco Wiz.
I would love to read Damas, Dramas, and Ana Ruiz. I have yet to read any Latino authors, but would like to start, as I will soon be a Spanish teacher!
Hello!
I would like to win American Libre (or the second one...always open to new readings). I'm a fan of Sandra Cisneros as well as Julia Alvarez.
I'm a journalist and I love reading books about minoritiess...they're usually quirky and from the heart : )
